Earlier, Airtel customers across the country were charged Rs 99 to keep their SIM active. A prepaid plan was available. However, Airtel’s minimum recharge rate has now increased by 57 percent to Rs 155 in Haryana and Odisha zones. Information about this has been given on the company’s website and the company has practically implemented this recharge plan in Haryana and Odisha. However, it is said that this change is likely to be seen across the country in the next few days.

Airtel earlier had a minimum recharge plan priced at Rs 99. This plan offers very limited data of 200 MB with a validity of 28 days. In contrast, now Airtel has introduced Rs 155. The lowest priced recharge plan offers 28 days of unlimited voice, 1GB data and 300 SMS’s. There is a 57 percent increase in the minimum recharge value here and it is listed in the consumer segment where affordability is most important.
